Description: Saitō Toshimitsu was a general in the service of Akechi Mitsuhide (1526-1582). In 1582, he assisted Mitsuhide in a successful but deceitful attack upon Oda Nobunaga, where Nobunaga was killed. Here he leads an advance party up the Kano river to Kyoto in preparation for the attack.
