Description : Young Girl of Polowat, East Carolines Numbered 126/350, printed on Jacoulet's personal watermarked paper. Comment by Richard Miles: Five years after this print was published, the first impressions were still not sold out. The original painting was contemporary with the Femme Tatouee de Falalap, but the lack of popularity at the time of publication places this delightful portrait among the rarest of the South Seas maidens.
