Description : Rare watercolour painted on silk, to be used as a genga (shita-e, or base sketch) for a woodblock print. I have not seen a woodblock print of this scene so perhaps the publisher Uchida decided not to proceed with its publication. Title, "Kame" artist sig and "To" artist seal at lower right. This item is from my personal collection and is not for sale.
