Description : Title Snow in Fushimi rare, exquisite Artist Kakuyu Shoda 1879-1947 Signature Kakuyu Seal Artist's seal Dated 1914-1915 Medium/Technique Woodblock print Impression excellent Colors excellent - very good … white powder for the snow effect, gold pigments around the windows Condition excellent - very good … slight paper toning, paper mounting residue on the back of the right edge. Description Snow in Fushimi. Superbly printed with metallic gold pigment and hand sprayed gofun in imitating falling snow. Some of the trees in the background were hand painted with gofun to give a sense of the veil of snow in the distance. Very rare and exquisitely made.
