Description : Wednesday, 10 November 2010 This is an excellently done original Japanese watercolor of trees in blossom along a small river. Adding interest to the scene is a house, a small foot-bridge, a boat tied up and another boat with 2 couples - one of the women is just boarding with the assistance of one of the men. This very nice, large watercolour painting measures 19 1/4" x 12 3/4" and is signed in the lower left corner "D. Hayashi". The watercolor is on heavy artist's board and shows indications on the back of previous framings and has some toning. The front of the painting has a 1/4" mat line around it with very minor indication of lightening and some matburn, more noticeable along the top and right side ...... SOLD
