Description Champion sumo wrestler, Takahanada (later Takanohana). He and his big brother, Wakanohana, became the first "Yokozuna" (Grand Champion) brothers in sumo. Their popularity revived the stagnated sumo wrestling during 1990s. After some 80 years of absence, the Japan Sumo Association commissioned the making of traditional nishiki-e style woodblock printing to publisher Kyoto Hanga-in and artist Daimon in 1985. These and other new Sumo Nishiki-e are sold in Ryogoku Kokugi-kan in Tokyo. Note Carver Kishima Shigeo, printer Ito Tatsuya. Width Item 16.0 inches = 40.7 cm Height Item 10.6 inches = 27.0 cm
