Description : This is a beautiful woodblock print by noted sosaku hanga printmaker Ido Masao. It depicts a traditional Japanese house at sunset. Measures about 10 1/4 x 15 1/4 plus large margins; pencil signed and numbered 172/180. Excellent color and impression, very nice condition; there is liberal use of gold mica pigment in the background, giving the print a beautiful shimmery quality when illuminated. An exceptionally nice print by a gifted printmaker!
