Description : Post card size. "Rankyokan Fukin no Kei". Hotel Rankyokan at the riverside. This small prints shows the process of making a woodblock print. No written explanation. Seventeen different woodblocks (han-gi) plus one key-block to complete one design. Putting colors on woodblock prints is a long and delicate process. Elaborate works such as shin-hanga bijin prints, need 50-100 printings to complete one design.
