Description : Two Egrets in Flight Artist: Koson Format: Oban tate-e: 15.25" x 10.5" Subject: A pair of Egrets flying through the rain among Willow branches. The first state of this design with the early rectangular Watanabe seal. See Crows Cranes and Camellias, Page 154, where the two states have been inadvertently transposed. Publisher: Watanabe Date: 1926 Condition: Full size with large margins. Minor soils, marks and flaws. Generally fine state. Colour: Fine colors. Impression: Fine impression with gauffrage.
