Description : Tuesday, 11 April 2006 Original woodblock print by Takahashi Shotei (1871-1945.) Evening Glow at Sakawa Bridge. Red Shotei seal, signature. Printed circa 1923, pre Great Kanto Earthquake version. Tanzaku size 15 x 6 3/4 inches, 39 x 17 cm. Unframed, strong colors, very good impression. No tears or repairs. Some light creasing at the top left corner. Toning to the top and bottom of the print probably due to previous framing or storage conditions. One of Shotei's masterworks.
