Description From the series of 4 prints, "Tokei to Bijin, IV" (Clock and Beauty, IV) commissioned by the watchmaker Hotta. The series depicts various beauties and clocks, which had been progressively developed from the Edo to the different periods. Here, a girl sits in the abstract, futuristic environment putting on make-ups. It seems she is too busy to notice the modern clock on the wall.
