Description : Wonderfully done in a manner that blends traditional Japanese prints of the past with more modern Western styles, this is a 1954 vintage woodblock print entitled "Akasaka Benkei Bashi" by the noted master printmaker Shiro Kasamatsu (1898-1991). The Red Shiro seal is placed at the upper right corner. We are frankly floored by this print from Kasamatsu's solo period. The delicacy, detail and handling mark it among the finest graphic images we have ever carried.
