Description : Saturday, 6 October 2007 Title Red Gate in the Rain rare Artist Shiro Kasamatsu 1898-1992 Signature "Shiro Kasamatsu" hand signed with the brush by the artist. Seal artist seal, "Kasamatsu Shiro ga - koku -suri" carved in the margin. Dated 1967 Medium/Technique Woodblock print. Impression Self-carved and self-printed on a Japanese paper. Colors Excellent. Condition Excellent - very good … Ink smudge on margins, the carve mark in the lowe right corner is no blemish, it contents to the print. Description "Ame no Akamon". A professor holds an umbrella and a bag walking through the red gate of the Tokyo university.
