Description : Up for auction is this beautiful Japanese wood block print from the estate of a Korean War veteran who recalls purchasing this print while on leave in Japan in 1952. The scene depicts a lovely lake with a grand mountain, I believe it is Mt. Fuji. The print measures 10” X 15 1/2”, and the outside margin measures 11” X 16 3/4”. The print is crisp and the colors are true. There are some framing instruction notations penciled in the top and bottom margins. The back side of the print has several small pieces of brown paper tape attached to the outside margins, probably left from attachment to matting.
