Description : Jidai Kagami Artist: Chikanobu Format: Oban tate-e: 14" x 9.5" Subject: A large head portrait of a young bijin wearing a kimono decorated with silver flowers. In a cartouche above a view of temple grounds in the Meiji period. Publisher: Matsuki Heikichi Date: January 1897 Condition: Fine colors. Full size. Japanese album backing paper. Minor soils, creases, marks and flaws. Generally very good state of preservation. Impression: Very good impression with gauffrage and silver pigment.
