Description : Woodblock diptych print, oban tate-e. A scene from the kabuki play 'Aoto Banashi'. The kabuki actor Bando Shuka as Oiso of Naka-no-cho (left), and Ichimura Uzaemon XII in an unidentified role carrying a tree branch from which toys are hanging; both are standing at a gate, on the other side is Nakamura Utaemon IV as Aoto Fujitsuna holding a partially open fan.
