Description : Colour woodblock print, oban tate-e. Ichikawa Ebizo (Danjuro VII) as Higuguchi Jiro in the guise of the sailor Matsuemon in a tree in the play 'Hiragana seisuiki' (ひらかな盛衰記), performed at the Ichimura theater, Edo, in the 4th month of 1832 (Tenpo 3). (possibly part of a triptych).
