Description : During wartime, after his father died, Kökaku lived with and cared for his mother. This print depicts a scene where Kökaku and his mother encounter robbers in the mountains, and he asks them to spare his mother. It is said that although they were poor, Kökaku always made sure that his mother lived comfortably.
