Description : "Kanbara" from the series "53 Stations of the Tokaido". Kanbara is station # 16 and at a high altitude. Hiroshige uses a minimum of sober colors to give the impression of the the bitter cold and the exertions to which the travellers were exposed by the deep winter snow.
