Description : Hiroshige-53Stations (Hoeido Tokaido)- Mitsuke- 1.jpg is: Great Tokaido Series: #29 Mitsuke Artist: Hiroshige I Format: Oban yoko-e: 9.75"x 14.5" Subject: In the early morning mist, fishermen relaxing on the river Tenryu watch the arrival of ferry boats. One of Hiroshige's best loved mist scenes. Publisher: Hoeido Date: 1834 Condition: Good colors (with slight fading of the red block). Vertical centerfold with small paper loss at base. Pencil figure 29 in top left corner. Laid down on Japanese album backing paper. Minor marks and soils but generally good original state of preservation. Impression: Very good impression.
