The scene is a majestic waterfall from the Japan Alps masterfully executed in subtle colors on a ivory stock with white highlights in the water. Simply gorgeous! Yoshida traveled to and exhibited in America many times beginning in 1899. He is one of the most famous Japanese artists of the 20th century, many of his prints and paintings are in museums and collections all over the globe. ?
