Date: Ca. 1930s.

Description: Herd of sheep graze on a meadow near the ruins of the ancient water conduit built by the Romans. Kazue was one of the handful virtuoso woodblock carvers in Taisho – early Showa era. He carved many prints by the shin hanga luminaries such as Hiroshi Yoshida and Paul Jacoulet. He was also a distinguished artist himself although he did not produce many designs.
