Description: This is a very rare original oban size, limited edition shin hanga Japanese woodblock print by Kawase Hasui (1883-1957) titled “Skirt of Mt. Fuji” (Nazaraki #453), signed/sealed in the image by the artist. The print was commissioned by Pacific Transport Line and published by Watanabe Shozaburo. Five hundred copies of this print were produced for a special gift calendar in 1952. The print is in overall very good condition. Fine impression, excellent color, registration and bleedthrough. No foxing, toning, folds or creases. The print is not setdown or trimmed. This print has never been framed. The only flaw is two very light red ink marks at the lower right corner of the print. The closeup of the sui seal shows these marks. Paper size is 10″ x 15″. A very rarely seen Hasui woodblock print.
