Description: Original oban tate-e woodblock print by Kawase Hasui. I found this in a frame that was in very bad repair which I had to eliminate. Framed by T.Z. Shiota of San Francisco and annotated on the paper backing: “Chuzenji Utagahama, An original wood block print by Hasui 1883-1957, Dated: 6th year of Showa Era “. This print has amazing depth and perspective. Strong bright colors, artist’s red seal and signature at lower right. Watanabe seal at lower left. Very good condition. Some thin areas, tape remnants at reverse edges.
