Description: Offered here is a cool Japanese woodblock print of a Night scene by Kawase Hasui and published by Watanabe c. 1945-50. This print is commonly called “Night Scene at Sakurada Gate, Tokyo” and was originally published in 1928, however this print bears the watanabe circular 6mm seal in the bottom left corner of the image. The colors are strong and deep blue with careful shading in the stone blocks and hint of the sunset glow in between the trees. The gate’s reflection in the water is also beautifully rendered. It is in Excellent condition with No problem whatsoever! It measures 15 1/4″ by 10 1/4″.
