Description: Guaranteed original Japanese woodblock print by the shin hanga artist Kawase Hasui. Subject: Sobu Garden Meiji Shrine. Date: 1951. Print bears the Watanabe publisher red round 6mm seal which indicates that this is an original impression. Not a posthumous edition or a later lifetime impression. Print is in excellent overall condition with excellent color and impression. The very edge of the top margin may be very slightly toned. This appears more substantial in the jpeg as it is barely noticeable in the actual print. Print is very fresh looking. There is some pencil writing on the verso as well which is not a flaw and can be erased. Oban design measures 10.25″ x 15.25″.
