Description: Offered for sale is an original 20th century Japanese woodblock print by Kawase Hasui (1883-1957), titled Hibiya Park in Spring, 1936, from the series One Hundred Views of New Tokyo. It was published by The Watanabe Color Print Co. and bears a “C” type publisher’s seal in the right margin. This image is illustrated at plate 390 of Kawase Hasui: The Complete Woodblock Prints by Brown and Watanabe. The print is in very good condition, with no condition problems to note, aside from a faint spot in the sky. The dimensions are approximately 12 1/2 x 8 3/4 inches, plus full margins.
