Description: Offered for sale is an original 20th century Japanese woodblock print by Kawase Hasui (1883-1957), titled Autumn at Chuzenji, 1932. It was published by The Watanabe Color Print Co. This image is illustrated at plate 290 of Kawase Hasui: The Complete Woodblock Prints by Brown and Watanabe, which indicates that design does not bear a publisher’s seal. Instead of the usual Hasui signature and tear drop artist’s seal, it is sealed with the same seal found on Hasui’s post card sized prints. The print is in very good condition, with no condition problems to note, aside from light toning on the reverse. The dimensions are approximately 9 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches, plus full margins.
