Description : Woodblock diptych print, oban tate-e. A scene from the kabuki play 'Genke hachidai'. The kabuki actor Ichikawa Danjuro VIII in a dragon-patterned robe as Akugenda Yoshihira (right), and Ichikawa Kodanji IV as Hasebe Nobutsana (right), both holding swords; Ichimura Uzaemon XII as Tada Kurahito Yukitsuna (left) holding an opened yellow and black umbrella, standing over Bando Shuka I, kneeling down as the ghost of Naruto-no-mae (left).
